Are Feminism and Misandry related??

What is feminism?

According to Google,
“Feminism is a range of political movements, ideologies, and social movements that share a common goal: to define, establish, and achieve equal political, economic, personal, and social right for women. This includes seeking to establish equal opportunities for women in education and employment.”
In simple words, a Feminist is a person who fights for equal rights of women.
So, What is misandry? Is it same as Feminism?
Lets take the help of google again.
“A better modern Greek term for a man-hater is misandrist”
We came across two different aspects of one’s nature which are now mistaken to be one. Does a feminist need to practise misandry?
Read This.
“I’ve been a supply teacher for 20 years in every subject area, K-12 in over 200 schools and in over 1000 classrooms in a large Canadian city. I can report that the education system has been taken over by feminists and lesbians who preach a daily diet of hate, violence and discrimination against males despite pretences of “tolerance” “non violence” and “inclusiveness.”
It’s moderately common to find girls wearing anti-male, hate clothing. Slogans on T-Shirts include: “Stupid Factory: Where Boys are Made;” “BOYS ARE STUPID, THROW ROCKS AT THEM!” and (prefixed by the profile view of a handgun) “He had it coming'”
Others include “WHO NEEDS BOYS WHEN YOU HAVE CREDIT CARDS?” and “I LIKE BOYS WHO ARE SENSITIVE AND CRY, WHEN I HIT THEM;” and “MENtal Anxiety MENtal Breakdown MENstrual Cramps MENopause Did you ever notice how all our problems begin with MEN.”

Now-a-days helping women means hating men.
Now this is what I was talking about. Why so much hate? Why so much enmity? the balance of both the sexes is important for thriving in this world means both the sexes need equal rights and love and hate. None of the sexes should be hated too much or loved too much. Men and women were made to compliment each other in every respect. It doesn’t mean that one is dominant and other is submissive.
Fighting for women does not require us to hate men, at least not particularly. Fighting for our rights means that we want to share an equal status with men. If we mistake feminism as misandry then may be we get our rights but then again one will be dominant and other will be submissive but might be the other way round. We do not require our Society to be male driven or female driven. we require a Society where one sex is not overlooked because of other.

I understand some men or I should say 70% men are at fault but lets not ignore those 30% who are with us and supporting us in each and every endeavour of ours. We just have to wait for the 30% to become a 100%. It will take time. But we will reach there surely.
UN took a step towards it. They started a Campaign HeForShe.
HeForShe (often referred to as He for She) is a solidarity campaign for gender equality initiated by UN Women. Its goal is to engage men and boys as agents of change for the achievement of gender equality and women’s rights, by encouraging them to take action against negative inequalities faced by women and girls.

Women, It really isn’t required to hate men. Just fight for women’s rights not to take away that of men.

  1. There are guys who values females..and yet there are females who take them for granted. Amazed to see such a contrast between feminism and misandry…Excellent work Sanjivini..!! 🙂
Though I value and support females but i would ask why there isn’t any mention of “70% girls are fault” if we are talking about equality between men and women…??
